Spelunking the Universe

Introduction
The universe is so many things, known and unknown, stretching on near infinitum in all directions. Stars of unimaginable size warm solar systems of utterly daunting girth. These collect in gargantuan families known as galaxies and the galaxies too rotate about in clusters of likeminded neighbors.
Amidst all of this, organisms of forgettable size attempt to use even smaller brains to understand the entirety. From this spawns a few minute millennia of ideological conflict that have ever so slightly added some saturation to the otherwise blank color-by-numbers painting that is the sentient understanding of the universe.
Somewhere far off, in the furthest reaches of nothingness, is a planet of modest size. It exists regardless of these sentient squabbles, and indeed prospers because of them. It is a place of isolation and the purest extremes.
Some Forty Isles separated for so long that none believes the others exist. Nations each content in the notion that they are the end, that a few miles out to sea is nothing but the end of existence. The sentients of this planet, this Scion, have no questions over the existence of life elsewhere and care not of their own existence being questioned.
On this planet, amidst this sea, lives a void, a beast with the girth of mountains, who has consumed entire fleets in a pass. It is this beast that has brought silence to the many nations of Scion; it is this beast that has brought utter ignorance and isolation to the people of this planet, however still it is not the silence beckoned on by this beast that is this tale.
Instead it is the beginning, a countdown of sorts, to an event yet unwritten. Herein are the tales of Scion, a land never known, a land never forgotten.
The Isles of Scion is a project I’ve been working on and off on in various entertainment mediums over the last 5 years or so. I’ve finally settled down and begun writing the first book. Currently titled “Isle of Bellum: Birth of the Wyrd Mage” which is the first volume of the Isles of Scion series. I hope by the end of it to produce a very long series of books that enough people enjoy to make it all seem worthwhile. Which in perfect honesty will not need to be that many people.
It’s a challenging project indeed considering the high levels of difficulty with writing for me. As a person who did not respect the time they had in early education I have had to learn most writing skills on my own and it has been an endless battle with various barriers.
If you are interested in joining the reading group for the regularly updating first run of my story feel free to send me a message or leave a comment. I’m not as likely to add random people however I may make exceptions from time to time.
So that’s about the gist, I am not trying to start a religious movement (as the name may sound) but instead am just a fellow who’s trying to found his own fantasy universe. Which I hope becomes popular enough to inspire others to add their own fan material to the series.
